> كان لـ يوسف عليه السلام أحد عشر أخاً، وكان أبوه يحبه كثيراً. وذات ليلة رأى يوسف في منامه أحد عشر كوكباً والشمس والقمر له ساجدين. فقص على والده رؤياه، فنصحه بألا يقص الرؤيا على إخوته؛ مخافة أن يحسدوه. وسوس الشيطان لإخوته، فاتفقوا على أن يلقوه في بئر عميق. وادعوا أن الذئب أكله. وجده ناس من التجار، فأخذوه وباعوه بثمن بخس، واشتراه ملك مصر، وطلب من زوجته أن ترعاه. وكبر يوسف . أخذت امرأة العزيز تراوده عن نفسه، فأبى فكادت له، ودخل السجن. ثم أظهر الله براءته، وخرج من السجن بعد ذلك، واستعمله الملك على اقتصاد مصر، حيث أحسن إدارته في سنوات القحط. ثم اجتمع شمله مع إخوته ووالديه وتحققت رؤياه.
